The Archives

This new section contains the first scanned images of Anatole Loukashkin's field notebooks (he was 16 years old when he began recording his observations). Many thanks to Misha Jones for copying, scanning and burning CDs; I hope this will help in his efforts to assist this area's indigenous peoples in protecting their natural heritage.

I will consider requests from libraries or research organizations that would like more material (including OCR'd scans) in return for funded/staffed efforts of cataloging, scanning and converting image to text. Transfer of the entire Loukashkin Library and Archives will be considered if the requestor can demonstrate its ability to utilize the materials to better understand the socio-ecological dynamics of the area and in cooperation with economic/environmental policymaking in Russian/China. Artistic use of the material is also encouraged.
